I received an email from Samaritan's Purse. It is that time of the year to start packing shoeboxes for those children in need around the world. It is a great way to share the love of Christ Jesus with those children in need. Our dearest friend, Horace Edwards, brought this ministry to us years ago and it has been a blessing. Our family of faith at Lakeline Oaks Retirement Community in Cedar Park, Texas, have continued this wonderful ministry. Our sister in Christ, Hazel Andrews, works so very hard to help everyone there deliver a gift to children who would never know the joys of Christmas. If it were not for this ministry and a family of faith so dedicated to spreading the Gospel message to all, we would be failing our responsibilities to worship God and to love one another.
As we approach the holidays, remember the words of Christ Jesus. "I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!" Matthew 25:40 (NLT)
