During our service at Lakelines Oaks Retirement Community, one of our dearest, Wanda, would sing hymns while walking through the building. It was one of the most calming moments in my life. There is something about singing praises to the Lord that just brings peace.
When you find yourself stressed beyond what you can handle, I suggest you hum or sing a hymn to put your mind at ease. It does wonders for the heart and soul.
But as for me, I will sing about your power. Each morning I will sing with joy about your unfailing love. For you have been my refuge, a place of safety when I am in distress.
Psalms 59:16 NLT
Christ Jesus said, "Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible." Matthew 19:26 (NLT) No matter what happens in life, we, through our faith in God, can overcome so much in our lives. We are truly capable of more when we follow God's will. Always remember that "God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. Psalm 46:1 (NLT)

Operation Christmas Child - A Blessing for All
Our dearest friend, Horace Edwards, brought this ministry to us years ago and it has been a blessing. Our family of faith at Lakeline Oaks Retirement Community in Cedar Park, Texas, have continued this wonderful ministry. Our sister in Christ, Hazel Andrews, works so very hard to help everyone there deliver a gift to children who would never know the joys of Christmas. If it were not for this ministry and a family of faith so dedicated to spreading the Gospel message to all, we would be failing our responsibilities to worship God and to love one another.
As we approach the holidays, remember the words of Christ Jesus. "I tell you the truth, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!" Matthew 25:40 (NLT)
