When you think about it, we all become victims at one time or another in our lives. We ask the same questions. Why me? Why do things always happen to me? Why am I so discouraged?
All of these questions seem to come up sometime in our lives. I can tell you from my own experiences that I have asked those very same questions. You should feel a little comfort knowing that others that should have no reason to ask those questions ask those questions.
Look at Psalm 42:5-6
Even David had his moments where all seemed lost and he felt deeply discouraged. I think we have all been there from time to time. As the old expression goes, "Been there. Done that."Why am I discouraged? Why is my heart so sad?I will put my hope in God!I will praise him again—my Savior and 6my God!Now I am deeply discouraged, but I will remember you—even from distant Mount Hermon, the source of the Jordan, from the land of Mount Mizar.
We should not be concentrating our how discouraged we are and remember the words that start this beautiful Psalm.
Think about and remember Him who upholds you with His righteous right hand.As the deer longs for streams of water,so I long for you, O God.
